Steve brings over eighteen years of practical building engineering and management experience to the team. He has successfully applied innovative design solutions to projects in the industrial, office, retail, residential, hospitality, entertainment and laboratory sectors across Canada, the US and the UK, a country renowned for its leadership in sustainable development. He is well versed in all aspects of building projects, with solid experience in construction management, project management, commissioning and maintenance procedures across the mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines, and in the UK he carried out carbon performance ratings and was actively involved in the conservation of power and fuel in buildings.

At BES Steve is responsible for providing energy services in existing buildings, which includes detailed and scoping-level energy studies, retrofit project design and project implementation. His design-build background lends itself to the seamless design, tender and implementation of retrofit projects, and allows him to provide guidance from a construction perspective to shape realistic, high-performance design solutions. Through open communication and a holistic design perspective, Steve advances sustainable design practices and guarantees real results.
