2026 Modular Housing Summit
Our team attended the Modular Housing Summit, hosted by the Manufactured Housing Association of B.C. It was our third year presenting at the event, and a great opportunity to connect with industry partners, share insights on electrification and energy efficiency, and discuss the future of high-performance modular buildings.
Lower Mainland RENT 2026
Our team attended the Lower Mainland RENT (Regional Education Networking & Tradeshow) event, a great opportunity to connect with property managers, strata representatives, housing providers and industry partners to discuss M&E engineering design, energy audits, heat pump and electrification solutions, recommissioning, and utility incentive funding.
FortisBC Trade Ally Network
We were proud to participate in the FortisBC Trade Ally Network (TAN) event in Kelowna. The event connected trade allies and energy professionals focused on advancing sustainable building practices throughout the province.
CHES BC Chapter Conference
We were proud to serve as Platinum Sponsors at the CHES BC Chapter Conference 2025. The conference brought together experts from across the industry to explore the future of healthcare infrastructure, with a focus on going beyond bricks and mortar.
FortisBC Energy Solutions & Innovation Forum
Our team participated in the FortisBC Energy Solutions & Innovation Forum in Burnaby. As part of the programme, our Director of Operations, Steven Arnold, delivered a presentation on Gas Absorption Heat Pumps, showcasing real-world performance data gathered after installation.
BCNPHA LM RENT
Our team attended the BC Non-Profit Housing Association LM RENT event, a great chance to connect with housing professionals and industry-leading speakers to discuss housing in the region. BES also ran a giveaway where visitors could win a multi-fuel pizza oven by visiting the stand.
ASHRAE HVAC&R Trade Show
In May 2025 our Managing Director, Sean Mac Aodh, attended the ASHRAE HVAC&R Trade Show in Victoria. The event brought together industry professionals to discuss energy efficiency and building technology.
FortisBC’s Future Energy Landscape
Our team attended FortisBC’s Future Energy Landscape 2025 event. During the gathering, our Director of Operations, Steven Arnold, delivered a presentation on the Gas Engine Heat Pump Pilot Program alongside Erich Klein from Baptist Housing.
BCNPHA Housing Central
The BES team hosted a giveaway at Housing Central. This year’s prize was an e-scooter for one lucky attendee. Visitors joined us for a chance to ride away on a new scooter while talking to us about HVAC equipment and new projects.
BC Hospitality Association Golf Tournament
BES were thrilled to attend the 13th Annual Vancouver Golf Tournament, where we sponsored a hole. The BCHA raised over $20,000 through tournament sponsorship, silent auction prizes and raffle ticket sales.

Vancouver Sun Run 2026
The BES team laced up and took on 10K alongside 58,000 runners at the Vancouver Sun Run 2026. Proud of every single person on the team who showed up and gave it their all. Events like this are a reminder of the incredible community we get to be part of here in Vancouver.
Christmas Party 2025
We celebrated an incredible year at BES with our 2025 Christmas party, filled with laughter, friendly competitions, great food and genuine connection. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy the festive season, reflect on the year’s achievements, and look forward to an even more successful 2026.
BES Sports Day 2025
Our team enjoyed a fantastic day at the BES Sports Day, making the most of the great weather and team spirit. The event was a wonderful opportunity to connect outside the workplace and share some friendly competition.
Vancouver Sun Run 2025
In May our team participated in the Vancouver Sun Run, an event that has been running for over 40 years. This year’s run brought together thousands of participants in a show of support and solidarity following recent tragedies in the city.
Good Friday
The team at BES came together to mark the Easter weekend. The team were surprised with chocolate treats in the office before sharing a walk in the local park to enjoy the fresh air together.
International Women’s Day
Our team celebrated International Women’s Day. As a small business in a traditionally male-dominated industry, we take pride in supporting this important day each year and endorsing the journey to equality.
Saint Patrick’s Day
Our team at BES celebrated St. Patrick’s Day. With many festivities taking place over the weekend, we spent the afternoon together to wind down, enjoy each other’s company, and say sláinte in honour of Irish Heritage Month.
BES Mt Seymour Trip
In March 2025 the BES team headed to Mt Seymour to spend some time on the slopes and have a chance to engage in some team-building away from the office. The evening was spent admiring the views and connecting on the snow.
Christmas & New Year Celebration
In December the BES team went out to celebrate Christmas and the upcoming New Year with a team dinner and Secret Santa, a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year’s achievements.
BES Boat Party
In September 2024 the BES team celebrated the end of summer with the annual BES Boat Party. The team had a fantastic time on the water, enjoying the beautiful Vancouver backdrop.
BES Sports Day 2024
In June 2024 the BES team enjoyed a fun-filled Sports Day under the sun. Activities included a spike ball tournament, a messy egg toss and a 40-metre sprint. Thanks to our Directors, Steven Arnold and Sean Mac Aodh, for organising it.
